The Nigeria Christian Graduate Fellowship (NCGF) is a non-denominational faith- based organization with chapters in many states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It is a group of Christians intellectually equipped to positively impact our society and the nations of the world. We are called to love and serve the Lord and humanity in spirit and in truth with our time, talent, and substance. Our mandate is to train and empower members spiritually, economically, politically, and socially to provide sound and enlightened leadership in the Church and the larger Society.

The Nigeria Christian Graduate Fellowship started in 1975. Before then, there were city Graduate Fellowships formed to cater to the spiritual welfare of young Christian graduates coming out of Nigeria’s higher institutions, who, with their learning and exposure could not fit into the traditional churches but were seeking a forum to use in contributing to nation-building. Thus, in 1975 at the University of Ife, these cities’ Graduate Fellowships came together to form a National
Fellowship now called the Nigeria Christian Graduate Fellowship (NCGF). The Fellowship was incorporated in 1984.
In fulfilling one of its aims, namely,
“ To offer and assert the Christian position on critical national issues”, the
NCGF has carried out the following advocacy activities as its contribution to nation-building based on kingdom principles of equity and fairness to all:
- Enlightenment & Mobilization of Church against OIC (1985)
- Enlightenment & Mobilization of Church about Islamic banking (2011)
- Enlightenment & Mobilization of Church against national grazing reserve (2014)
- Mobilization & Enlightenment of the Church leading to reversing the omnibus multi-religious curriculum and replacing it with a curriculum on Christian Religious Knowledge based solely on the Bible (2015)
- Enlightenment & Mobilization of Church and nation against amendments of the constitution on the extension of the jurisdiction of sharia courts to handle criminal and civil matters (2016)
- Mediating in intra and inter-Church/ denominational crises, e.g. Assemblies of God Church. (2016).
7) Presenting a position paper against efforts in amending a Constitution that was foisted on the nation by the military. The Fellowship called for drafting a brand new Constitution following democratic due process (2021)

NCGF raised this directorate with the vision on the political mobilization of the Christians in Nigeria with the following mission;
- Nationwide mobilization of the Church for effective participation in politics and Governance
- Organizing seminars/ workshops to enlighten the Church on her role in governance
- Identifying Christians with political interests and calling and mentoring them.
Developing a Christian ideology statement as a guide to Christian participation in politics.
The basic role of this directorate is to explore viable avenues to make NCGF National conferences an international brand, and use available frameworks to deepen the participation of members and others in NCGF conferences; explore other funding options and patterns within and outside the fellowship, implement and monitor viable strategies that will enhance funding. Raise the needed funds, and submit to NEC for purpose of hosting national conferences; Also promote early mobilization and participation in NCGF annual conferences across the mainstream and social media platforms.
On joining the Nigeria Christian Graduate Fellowship chapter and participating in its activities, for a person to become a full and registered member, there should an interview of the such candidate by the Chapter EXCO or a committee set up by the EXCO for that purpose. After a successful interview, the person should be inaugurated into the Fellowship by subscribing to a membership declaration in one of the chapter’s fellowship meetings:
To provide a medium through which members can continue to grow in the faith via in-depth Bible exposition, discussion, and teaching.
To encourage members to be active witnesses for Christ and in particular to uphold the principles of the Christian home, stewardship, leadership, and probity.
To provide an avenue for evangelism and discipleship of the elite in a manner relevant to their status and exposure.
To provide mature leadership in the Church and to stimulate active involvement of members in their local church activities as well as in the welfare of the locality.
To offer a Christian witness to effect Christ-centred change in the socio-political environment as well as to encourage mature Christian involvement in nation-building and national affairs.
To offer and assert the Christian position on critical national issues.
To stimulate and undertake the development of Christian literature.
To support organizations, especially in educational institutions whose aims and objectives agree with those of the Fellowship as well as persons whom the Fellowship deems fit to support.
- To encourage and be involved in outreach missions within and outside Nigeria.
To promote and execute the work of Africa Vision Tract House Society.
The NCGF is headed by the National President who is elected every three years at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). There is the General Secretary who is the chief administrative officer, the National Executive Committee, the National Council, and the Annual General Meeting (AGM) as the highest decision-making organ of the Fellowship. There is the Board of Trustees that serves as the custodian of the tenets, beliefs and physical property of NCGF.
The chapters in the Fellowship are grouped into Zones based on proximity for ease of coordination. Each Chapter is headed by a Chapter President while each zone is headed by a Chairman and coordinated by the Zonal Secretary.
Membership of the Fellowship is open to all born-again Christians who have post- secondary school training. They are required to affirm their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and accept the aims, objectives, and doctrinal basis of the Fellowship by signing the membership declaration contained in the Constitution of the Fellowship.
Through the following arms, the Fellowship has been adding value to members, missions, and society:
- NCGF AS A FELLOWSHIP: Fellowship activities in line with its aims and objectives add value to the quality of life & faith of members;
- AFRICA VISION TRACT HOUSE SOCIETY (AVTHS) is the missionary arm of the Fellowship that carries out evangelistic and medical outreaches within and outside Nigeria.
- NCGF ADVOCACY activities add value to the Nation-building;
- NCGF BUSINESS ARMS AND INVESTMENT PLATFORMS add value to
the economic & financial value of members
- DIRECTORATE OF POLITICAL MOBILIZATION AND GOOD GOVERNANCE-
engages in advocacy for the Church to get involved in the political process to make a difference based on biblical principles via mentorship.
- DIRECTORATE OF NATIONAL CONFERENCE & CORPORATE SERVICES- explores
viable avenues to make NCGF National conferences an international brand.
AVTHS means Africa Vision tract house society the missionary arm of Nigeria Christian Graduate fellowship. It is also registered in CAC as a charity mission agency. Aspects of Mission involvement;
