A Letter to My Brethren by Bayo Famonure

Good morning people of God.

I woke up in the night with a heavy burden to write you this letter. Many of us have read and studied the book of Revelations, the last book of the Holy Bible. A lot of the things we read in this book for the past many years that looked curious and impossible at that time are now beginning to make sense. It appears to me that we are the generation from whom the ends of the world have come.

To complicate matters, science is catching up on the prophecies in the Bible. I can cite so many examples but that will go outside the purview of this letter. The sole aim of this letter is to reiterate the words of Jesus: watch and pray. In a modern translation, He solemnly warned: see, don’t let my second coming catch you unawares. Don’t let me find you eating and drinking, preoccupied with the affairs of this world, as in the days of Noah. What do we watch for? I will mention a few of them.

Be careful of strange sicknesses, and even the common ones. These will come in three categories. The first sets are the ones we are used to headaches, and stomach aches which are in reality symptoms of deeper problems. The second is sicknesses caused by our careless lifestyle. Watch how and what you eat. Eat with knowledge. Some foods are very tasty to the mouth but very injurious to the body’s well-being. Let us go as naturally as possible. All you are looking for are available in the natural things God has given us. These are days that the church has been deeply infiltrated so that those who claim they know the Lord may be planning to sell the Lord. The third sets are the sicknesses that are manufactured, induced and forced on the world. Lucifer Himself is directly in charge of this operation because he knows that his time is short. Ebola, HIV/AIDS, and COVID 19 are in this category. Many more will surface in these last days. There are agents of Hell, personally controlled and sometimes possessed by Satan to make this happen and enforce it on the world. Their proffered solutions cannot be anything but a step deeper into the mire: be warned.

We should also watch the happenings in governmental circles. Don’t be deceived by their progressive programs. Watch out for the conflicts building up in the Middle East especially. The recent friendship of Russia and China, the two largest communist countries calls for great concern. Could it be that we are seeing the prophetic Gog and Magog, getting ready with a million-strong foot-soldiers? Maybe Ukraine is just a bait on the hook! The massive invasion and imminent take over of entire Europe by Islam is another milestone that calls for concern. Is Europe being prepared for massive slaughter and eventual annihilation? The weakening of the Christian values of the United States of America is another thing to watch. Could it be that the major possible opposition to the end-time program is being deflated, neutralized, and made ineffective? How come the USA, albeit, unwittingly, equipped the most brutal Islamist terrorist group, the Taliban, and set them up to unleash untold horrors on the Christians? The friendship between Israel and Egypt is not new but it is building up at a time Iran, Turkey, Iraq, and the Arab world are consolidating their position for a final onslaught against the land of Jehovah. North Korea, another communist enclave is defying the entire world and going ahead with its nuclear program. In fact, Kim Jong-Un, the supreme leader of North Korea, once threatened that the nuclear button is on his table and any provocation can make him press the button. An echo of what Vladimir Putin of Russia said: if not for my love for Russia, I can turn the entire world into nuclear rubble, but Russia too will not be spared and I love Russia.

Another thing to watch is the blatant refusal of the modern-day churchgoers to allow the prayer of Jesus for the church to be answered by the Father: Jn 17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. At a meeting of Christian leaders in Nigeria, which was held at the National Christian CENTRE, Abuja, a few days ago, the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria was virtually in tears as he lamented his failed and frustrating efforts at getting the leaders of the church to come together. Everyone has his agenda which supersedes the joint agenda of the church. Watch the happenings in the Vatican. Age-old doctrines and practices of the church are being dropped in very subtle ways. Watch the quality of the Christianity we have now, a mere caricature of what the Master and the apostles laid down.

So what do we do?
Let each man examine himself whether he is in the faith. We should all work out our salvation with fear and trembling. The time that is past is sufficient in doing the works of darkness. God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Let us make a deliberate effort not to make provision for the flesh to fulfill the lusts thereof.
Beef up your meditation on the word. It is necessary to read many chapters a day, but it is more important to think through what you are reading. Learn the art of meditation. If only a chapter a day, think through and ask what the Lord is saying to you.
Let us know that without God, we can do nothing. He told us: apart from me, you can do nothing. Nothing means nothing. Let us learn to commit every step to God in prayers. Pray for yourself, pray for your family, pray for your friends. In fact pray for your enemies or those who don’t like you, not with the aim of heaping hot coals of fire on them but that they may repent. Just learn to talk to God about everything.
Watch what and how you eat. There may be a big scarcity of food and other necessities very soon, so begin to reduce how much you consume. And eat healthy. Take more vegetables and fruits. If veggies are scarce in your area, grow them in sacks, in half drums around your house. Two weeks after planting, you will begin to eat from your garden.
And that leads to my fifth point. Have a good storage facility for water. You will need it. For those in Africa, even in the villages, this is not a big issue. Many already provide their own water through deep wells or boreholes. Have a garden or a farm even if you have to have it in a village. If you can, store a lot of foodstuffs. A time will soon come when money shall fail; fail totally and of no use. Invest in foodstuffs.
Do you have an alternate source of light? It may be a good idea to think of inverters, solar energy, and generators. I am told some generators are being invented now, they run on water, not gasoline. This is particularly important for those living in the west or in temperate regions. If the power goes for just one week or less during winter….!
If you pray and God lays it in your heart to relocate, even from North America to Africa, please don’t struggle with God. What will a man gain in exchange for his soul? And if He says you should move from Africa or Asia to Europe or North America, please obey. He will work it out. Just make sure He is the one. Anywhere HE PUTS YOU, He will keep you. The God of the hill is also God in the valley.
Finally, take your stand on what you know is right. It may cost you your job or more, but please make heaven your ultimate bus stop.

This letter is to my Brethren because they will understand what I am saying. If it gets into your hands and you are not in that company, you may call me an alarmist or whatever.
